This Local Florist Makes Sure You’re His One and Only
Customers Can Send Roses to Only One Person
Singapore, January 13th 2015: You and No Other launched its debut collection of hand bouquets and hatbox-inspired arrangements for Valentine’s Day with its unique ‘One Life, One Love’ policy: you may send roses to only one person for the rest of your lifetime.
Co-founder Augustine Goh explains, “my two partners and I have always had an old-school appreciation for the word ‘commitment’, so we felt the brand’s core belief should be that giving and receiving flowers is the ultimate expression of love.” Goh added, “by ensuring customers can choose only one recipient for the rest of his life, the roses immediately mean a lot more to the recipient; she’ll be delighted to know she is ‘The One’.”
“by ensuring customers can choose only one recipient for the rest of his life, the roses immediately mean a lot more to the recipient; she’ll be delighted to know she is ‘The One’.”
To achieve this, the co-founders have relied on their backgrounds – Goh, who was previously at local tech start-up Nanoveu Pte Ltd, combined his tech savvy with Jason Chia, a Bitcoin expert previously profiled by Forbes, and Vincent Pang, a former consultant at PWC, to create a series of algorithms that systematically detects 99% of what the trio terms “suspicious activity”. As for the remaining one percent? “We’ll manually check every order too to be safe”, says Goh, “which really shouldn’t be an issue since we’re capping sales for this debut collection to 100 orders”.
The hand bouquets and hatbox-inspired arrangements by You and No Other can be ordered online at www.you-and-no-other.com. Head florists Elva and May, who have a combined 80 years of experience arranging flowers, hand pick and hand craft large high-quality roses into elegant arrangements that come in three different colours: Classic Crimson, Pink Lace and Coral Peach.
